Did you know: The original Magellan cross is encased inside the wooden cross found at the center of the chapel to protect from people chipping the wood as souvenir.

Well, not really miss half of your life. As with any trip & if ur Catholic it's always a good thing to visit a church first. The Basilica first then go straight and Magellan's Cross is right there.

The candle vendors know better how to angle your perfect shot at the cross. ???? Great for solo travelers like me! Just hand them a little tip for their kind effort.

The Cross in-cased in Tindalo wood, is not necessarily the original cross planted by Magellan. Antonio Pegafeta made mention that the natives as the Spaniards were leaving Cebu, chopped down the cross

The ladies who approach the tourists and ask them if they could pray/dance for the tourists' intentions are a bit disruptive. Instead of being able to just appreciate the site.
